Using Your Gaming Devices to Access Teams
We are aware there are many challenges with remote learning, including the use of (or access to) devices. Some of you will have a PlayStation or Xbox and these can be used to access Microsoft Teams. See below for information on how to do this (although the guide is for Google Classroom, the method is the same for Teams). Oxford Owl
Practise Reading at Home
Oxford Owl has a FREE eBook library for children ages 3-11 to help develop their reading skills at home. Your children will recognise some of their favourite characters from the books they have read at school! All the eBooks are FREE to use but parents will need to register with Oxford Owl, or log in if you have registered previously. Please note, our eBooks are not optimised for mobile phones and are best viewed on a computer, laptop, or tablet.
Oak National Academy
Online Classroom
Nearly 10,000 free video lessons, resources and activities, covering most subjects, from Reception to Year 11. Although we are not using Oak Academy in the same way we did in the summer term it is still available for children to use. Select your child's year group and there is a daily schedule of activities for each subject.
Language Angels
We have created a whole school account on Language Angels to allow children to access the site from home using a desktop, tablet or mobile device.
Please follow the link: https://www.languageangels.com/schools/ and select Pupil Games Area and use the log in details provided below:
Log in: almondhillpupil Password: onlineaccess
Select your device and choose the unit you wish to work through and you will be taken to a variety of games and activities for your chosen unit.
Hamilton
Free English and Maths Materials.
Hamilton will be providing free packs for English and maths for each year group so that these materials can be available for parents and children at home.
You can find the links for their learning packs below – these will be updated regularly.
TTRockstars
All children have access to TTRockstars (providing we were given parental consent) this is a fun and interactive way for children to learn their times tables and should already be a part of their home learning routine. Encourage your child to keep practising and beating their previous scores! Look out for upcoming battles...
Please contact your child's class teacher if they are having problems logging on, the school office are unable to help with this.
Think u Know - Online Safety
Think U Know have developed a range of 15 minute activities to help support parents and children with online safety. They cover a range of topics including:

- Sharing images
- Livestreaming
- Cyber security
