At Almond Hill we know that life is a journey and climbing the hill with us is part of that journey. In order to climb the hill, we need lots of skills and knowledge in our backpack.

Why would I want to be top of the hill?

The further you are on your hill climb the more likely you are to succeed. You will be working towards a great future and you will want to work, to go further even if there is no physical reward at the end of the task. This means that you are more likely to contribute positively to the world and leave a great legacy! 

You will do things that others might not want to: going to bed early to get a good night's sleep, reading a book rather than playing a computer game, looking smart in your correct uniform, completing extra practice for homework. 

If you're at the top of the hill, then you know how to persevere when things are difficult and how to put the effort in to succeed. You've done the practice so that when something is hard you can still achieve – you won't give up!
