Healthy Eating Assembly
Miss Wase did a healthy eating assembly on Monday in response to the school council meeting where children said that we were healthier than last year when this was reviewed but there is still some way to go with everyone eating healthy snacks at playtime. Historically, we have always expected children to eat a healthy snack (or choose this from their packed lunch) at break - ideally fruit or vegetables to ensure this important part of a balanced diet is not left out each day. This forms part of our commitment to promoting health overall including sleep and exercise. We are aware we have not always reminded parents of this expectation regularly enough so were pleased when children asked us to address this.
